A man is ‘fighting for his life in hospital’ after a multiple stabbing in east London this afternoon.
The victim, believed to be in his 20s, is in a critical condition in an east London hospital, while another victim was found by officers with stab wounds to his hands.
Scotland Yard said police were called at 4.24pm on Sunday to Sandringham Road, Barking, following the incident.
London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance also attended the incident and the area has been cordoned off.
Police said two males have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
The Metropolitan Police said on Twitter: ‘Two people have been arrest following a stabbing in #Barking.
‘We were called at 16:24hrs to Sandringham Road to a man in his mid-20s suffering injuries.’
In a separate incident, a man has been taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition after being stabbed in Hackney.
Scotland Yard said officers were called to Brooke Road at about 5pm on Sunday and that no arrests had been made.
A Met Police statement said: ‘Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found a man believed to be in his teens suffering a stab injury.
‘He has been taken to hospital where he is in a life-threatening condition.
‘A crime scene is in place. No arrests.
‘A Section 60 is in place for the borough of Hackney until 10:00am tomorrow’.
The section 60 order allows police to stop and search people without suspicion if there is evidence that serious violence has taken place or may take place.
